Ghanaian international Albert Adomah was reportedly released by English club Aston Villa less than a week after helping the training to qualify for the Premier League promotion.

According to Birmingham Mail, the Lions have decided not to extend the contract of the winger who expires during the English summer.

Instead, the club is looking for other names to strengthen their team before their Premier League season.

Defenders Alan Hutton and Tommy Elphick are expected to join Adomah by the exit door.

The Ghanaians left Middlesbrough after the second day of the Premier League in 2016, after being promoted to second place.

He played for Bristol City in the Championship between 2010 and 2013 and Barnet in Ligue 2 between 2008 and 2010.

During the recently completed season, the 31-year-old athlete played 39 championship appearances for Villa, started 24 times and scored four times. He scored 10 goals less than in the previous campaign when he finished the term as top scorer of the club and player of the season.

The winger was part of Ghana's teams for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2014 FIFA World Cup, but was snubbed for next month's mainland gem in Egypt where the Black Stars have lottery against Cameroon, Benin and Guinea-Bissau.
