Albina takes victory in Croatia with Tick-Tock

Albina Grčić won the Croatian national final ‘Dora’ 21 ‘with the song Tick-Tock.

In a live show from the Marino Cvetković gym, Opatija, Albina Grčić gave a sensational performance from her track TIC Tac, inspiring enough support from juries and the general public to see 13 unlucky contestants, in another fantastic edition of Dora.

Albina will now represent Croatia in the second half of the first semi-final on May 18, 2021 in Rotterdam.

The Split singer has had a burning passion for performance since she was young; her talent for singing was nurtured by her family who encouraged her to learn the piano as well.

Champion Dora 21 released her first single Immunity to fear (English: Immunity to fear) towards the end of last year, but said of his winning song TIC Tac that she knew it would be the song to define her as an artist and performer.

Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest

Croatia debuted at the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest, sending pop group Put to Ireland with the song Never cry after their qualification for the preselection program, Millstreet Qualification.

Croatia’s best results were achieved in 1996 and 1999 with a 4th place for Maja Blagdan Holy love and the hymn of Doris Dragović Mary Magdalene – a track that still sends fans rushing to the dance floor two decades later.
