Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will no longer wear the jersey number 21 for Liverpool – he will wear 15 jerseys.
The English international midfielder has worn number 21 since his signing at the Anfield Club of Arsenal two seasons ago.
The number 15 jersey was worn by Daniel Sturridge at that time, but has become vacant since the departure of the club's forward.
The news has been announced on social media, along with the planned action by Oxlade-Chamberlain Liverpool fans who have already launched a shirt 21 with his name on the back.
The former star of the Gunners offers an identical exchange to all the fans who have bought a new Liverpool jersey with his name and his old number on the back to make sure they will wear the right kit on the terraces during the next season.

Sturridge announced this week that his six-and-a-half-year stay in Liverpool would finally end this summer.
The attacker made an announcement on the social networks while unveiling the news on the official website of Liverpool.

In a message to the fans, Sturridge wrote, "What can I say … It was quite a ride in this beautiful club, we were together for seven seasons and took a short break in between.
"We had a lot of ups and downs together but we stayed together knowing that one day we had to break in. That moment has come.

"I want to tell the fans that I love you all, you made me feel at home and you kissed me with open arms.
"The Sturridge dance has become famous in Anfield and I will never forget the first time I did it in front of the Kop."
