Alexandre Lacazette reveals why the forms of Arsenal at home and on the outside are so different

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has delivered his verdict on the poor form of the Gunners, although he has excelled at Emirates Stadium this season.

The Frenchman is a key figure in the Unai Emery team, which has recorded 10 home Premier League home wins.

Arsenal have taken 44 points in 17 games at Emirates, recording 14 wins, two draws and one loss. Only Manchester City (48) and Liverpool can match this return (44), although the Reds have played one game less.

Outside the house, the story is different. Emery's teams have the tenth best form outside of the Premier League, winning just one-third of their 15 away games and losing six.

This miserable form on the road also extended to the Europa League, the Gunners suffering embarrbading defeats against the BATE Borisov and Rennes minnows.

The contrast between home and outdoors is so great that many have been taken aback by Arsenal's motion sickness.

This is something that players have trouble understanding, as Lacazette revealed when he spoke to BT Sport.

He said: "At home we are more confident because the fans are behind us, we feel shy for one reason or another, I can not explain it.

"We are determined to play well in our next home game, so it's important to finish the season well."

Arsenal is back on the road Monday night when he faces Watford. The Hornets were disappointed by Vicarage Road, scoring only 26 points in 16 games, the 11th highest total in the division.
