The Chinese online trading giant, Alibaba, has opened its doors to US sellers on its oldest platform, Alibaba.com.
It now offers tools for US companies to sell on the B2B platform in the US and around the world.
This initiative will enable Alibaba, traditionally focused on China, to compete with global e-commerce giants such as Amazon.
Alibaba.com has 10 million active buyers in more than 190 countries and regions.
As part of the announcement on Tuesday, Alibaba.com announced that the US production company Robinson Fresh will join the platform on July 23.
This follows a "strategic collaboration" between Alibaba.com and the US office supply company Office Depot, announced in March, he said.
This decision comes at a time of tension in relations between the United States and China, who have been waging a trade war for a year.
