Alignment of Leicester City vs Liverpool

[ad_1]

Leicester City will return to action in the Premier League on Wednesday as they face Liverpool at Anfield.

The Foxes are currently in bad shape, having lost their last two games in the league. Their last league match ended in a dramatic 4-3 loss to the Wolves at the Molineux stadium.

Claude Puel's players have collected 31 points in 23 league games and are currently ranked ninth in the standings. They impressed with patches but failed to achieve consistent results.

Their opponents, Liverpool, are rather well placed at the top of the rankings, which may be a difficult journey for former Premier League champions.

Leicester City Team News

The badistants will be stimulated by the quick recovery of Harry Maguire after a knee injury he suffered against the Wolves.

Daniel Amartey will however not be available because he is recovering from an operation with the broken ankle.

Expected range of Leicester City

Defense

Kasper Schmeichel should start in goal. The goalkeeper will probably be tested regularly by the formidable trio of attacks composed of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

Wes Morgan and Maguire could again badociate in central defense. Maguire has been superb this season, having accumulated 1.2 tackles, 1.4 interceptions and 5.1 games per game on average.

While Ben Chilwell is likely to keep his place on the left back, Danny Simpson could start in the right-back role. Defenders must come forward as many times as possible to question the Liverpool defense, which is not at its best.

Midfielder

Wilfred Ndidi and Nampalys Mendy could start in the central midfield. Both are physically strong players who have the caliber to lead the midfield and they have to be at their best to stop the Liverpool attackers, who are fit.

James Maddison could prove himself as a central offensive midfielder. The 22-year-old has scored five goals and four badists in 21 Premier League appearances this season. He could be the momentum of his team in the last third.

Attack

Jamie Vardy has scored a total of seven goals against Liverpool, and he should start at the top of the rankings to create problems for national defense.

The former English international should be supported by Demarai Gray on the left flank and Ricardo Pereira on the right side.
