Almost 24 years have pbaded since the hit of the 90s, rom-com No idea landed in theaters. On March 23, 2019, at C2E2 in Chicago, four of the main cast members came together to talk about the movie. This is what we learned from this historic event.

Alicia Silverstone had problems with Cher at the beginning

The main character of the movie, Cher Horowitz, is a spoiled teenager from Beverly Hills with a seemingly endless closet. It was a bit strange for Silverstone, who stated that she "had a green t-shirt and jeans that I wore every day."

"At first, when I read the script, I thought it was very materialistic and annoying," said Silverstone, but she was quickly able to find the right side of the character, at least in part thanks to writer Amy Heckerling's screenplay. "His scenario was brilliant and I laughed all the way," added Silverstone.

Donald Faison celebrated his 21st birthday during filming

Faison was very excited about No idea from the first time, he read the script. "It was something that I really wanted, really," he said. "I was a big fan of John Hughes' films and it was an opportunity to be part of a genre that I really appreciate. So yes, it was obvious. "

Plus, Faison joked about how his character was wearing suspenders ("The suspenders were fake … I do not know, I guess I had really bading teeth?") And also noted that he had found a very important line: When Murray shaved his head and said to Dionne, "I keep it that way." "I was not paid for that either" he added.

Breckin Meyer channeled other popular characters from the movie to play Travis

"I've never been high, never smoked grbad or anything like that when I played Travis." So he borrowed from Spicoli, the character of Sean Penn in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, as well as "Keanu Reeves in all, "Specifically citing the characters of the actor in Bill and Ted films and in parenting.

Paul Rudd, Brekin Meyer and Donald Faison lived together

At the start of the shoot, most of the actors did not know each other, apart from Brittany Murphy and Meyer. But Meyer, Faison and Rudd lived together for a short time. Rudd explained that it was because Faison and he were both based in New York. They crashed against Meyer.

However, Rudd was a bit distant from the other characters because he did not play in the school scenes, adding that one of his favorite scenes was that of the wedding at the end. "I was a little out of town, but I liked working with Alicia and those guys," said Rudd, motioning to Faison and Meyer.

Do they ever go to a meeting or a suite?

Faison and Rudd agreed that Josh and Cher would always be together in real life, adding "if we had to follow suit …", to the applause of the audience. A fan later asked about the possibility of a raise, to which they agreed that Heckerling would need to be involved. Meyer added, "I'm sure at some point they will try a reboot or something with a new distribution."
