Allied Health Administration Board inaugurated in Accra

Accra, June 15, GNA – A Government of 11 Members
board of directors for the Allied Health Council was inaugurated Friday in Accra
supervise the regulation of the education, training and practice of the paramedical sector
profession.

Mr. Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, Minister for
Health, who inaugurated the board of directors asked them to identify and badyze
challenges faced by allied health professionals and submit proposals

He encouraged the council to work hard for

Professor Augustine Kwame Kyere, President of
the council, thanked the minister for listening to their call to put the council into
in law.

He promised that the newly formed council
would do its best to justify their applications and correct any anomalies in the
paramedical, which represents about 60% of the country's population.

Dr. Ignatius Awinibuno, President of
Ghana Allied Health Federation, instructed the council to hasten
