Alt-J has announced their fourth album, ‘The Dream’, and shared their debut track ‘U&ME’ – you can listen to it below.

The new single is described as “the trio’s most honest song to date” and comes with an accompanying music video, directed by Prosper Unger-Hamilton, brother of band member Gus.
“It’s about being at a festival with your best friends, having a good time, being together and feeling in life that nothing could be better than right now,” Gus said of the comment. of ‘U&ME’.
The track emerged during sound checks for Alt-J shows around the world, with frontman Joe Newman claiming that it then “gained momentum on its own.”
As for Alt-J’s upcoming album, ‘The Dream’ features “both beauty and darkness. […] often seamlessly merging on the same track, a deliberate choice that pays dividends across the record ”.
The project will feature “stories and tales inspired by true Hollywood and Chateau Marmont crimes”, while providing fans with some of the trio’s “most personal moments to date”.

Alt-J also announced a North American tour for 2022, which will begin in Pittsburgh, Pa. On February 25.

Alt-J announced their return last week, sharing the title and release date of “U&ME” on social media.
The band’s previous album, ‘Relaxer’, was released in 2017. In a four-star review, NME wrote: “[It’s] 40 minutes of tight music that builds a very modern sound wall. Excellent album, even if it is not entirely relaxing.
