Rory Best has persuaded beginner caller James Ryan to become major against "the best lock in the world" Alun Wyn Jones in Cardiff.
Wales captain Jones will tie Gethin Jenkins' record with the combined total of Irish, British and Irish Lions by 134 in Saturday's Guinness Six Nations verdict.
The skipper, 33, starts the match against Principality Stadium as captain, compared to his Irish counterpart, Ryan, the 16-year-old Leinster, 16.
The Irish captain, Best, believes however that Ryan's best lap since the beginning of his career has been to deceive the test arena in which he has been playing for ages.

"When Paul O'Connell was present, if he did not play, you'd really have trouble finding a starting point, so Donnacha Ryan emerged a little.
"Now, having guys like Iain Henderson, Quinn Roux and James all able to call an alignment is very encouraging."
