Amazon faces a federal lawsuit for breaks in the restroom. It comes from a call center employee who claims that Amazon has violated the Americans with Disabilities Act by firing him for "time theft."

The lawsuit was filed in Kentucky's Eastern District District Court in Lexington, Kentucky, and on Friday KIRO-TV spoke to Jim Adams, who filed the lawsuit on behalf of Nicholas Stover.
Stover suffers from the digestive disorder, Crohn's disease, which leads to frequent trips back to the bathroom. The lawsuit alleges that Stover was discriminated against and removed from the Amazon Customer Service Center in Winchester, Kentucky.
"Nick had been a valuable employee," Adams said. "It has never been provided with unplanned wash time beyond the very small and draconian hours for all employees."
Amazon did not respond to KIRO-TV's request for comment because of the pending trial. But Amazon had previously stated that he was not monitoring the breaks in the bathrooms.
"We think the facts of this case will show that every minute an employee is busy," said Adams, "and that the way they are busy is electronically documented, and we think it's not there. there is nothing that an employee is watching ".
KIRO-TV handled the unions' previous complaints about the high demand for workers at Amazon distribution centers. The lawsuit in Kentucky says there are high requirements, but it is testing the Americans with Disabilities Act.
"A manager told him at the time of his dismissal that the reason for his dismissal was a theft of time," Adams said.
The lawsuit seeks at least $ 3 million in damages.
