Instagram user Tessica Brown went viral after posting a video about how she made a ‘bad’ decision to use industrial spray adhesive to maintain her hairstyle. While taking to the social media platform, Brown informed her followers of what happened to her hair after spraying Gorilla Glue Adhesive Spray because she ran out of hairspray, hairspray stuck on Got2B. In the clip, she said her hair had been stuck in the hairstyle shown in the video for a month.
Brown said, “I ran out of Got2B hairspray so I used that, gorilla glue spray, bad idea, my hair doesn’t move, I washed it 15 times and it doesn’t move”.

In subsequent articles, Brown posted a photo of St. Bernard’s Hospital in Chalmette, Louisiana, which she visited in hopes of getting the cured adhesive removed from her hair. She revealed that she spent 22 hours in the emergency room. She also said health workers used acetone and sterile water to loosen the adhesive, which burned her scalp and hardened moments later.
Gorilla Glue’s website isn’t clear on how to remove its spray adhesive from hair, only body and skin. The FAQ section of the website advises, “While still wet, Gorilla Spray Adhesive can be removed by wiping off the adhesive with a dry cloth, then washing the area with soap and water. Once hardened, rinse well with water ”. Regarding Brown’s experience using his product as an alternative to hairspray, Gorilla Glue also released a statement in which they pointed out that the spray adhesive says on the warning label “not to. not get into eyes, skin or clothing ”.
“We are very sorry to hear about the unfortunate incident Miss Brown had with using our spray adhesive on her hair. We are happy to see in her recent video that Miss Brown has received medical treatment from her local medical facility and we wish her the best, ”the company said.

Internet users ‘pray’ for Brown
Meanwhile, Brown’s video caught the attention of many celebrities who reposted his video and also followed his Instagram profile to receive updates on his journey to adhesive-free hair. Brown even started a Go-Fund me page that surpassed the goal of $ 1,500 for help with his medical bills. In the comments section, users even wrote, “Good luck. Sending prayers ”.
