Americans share the top priorities they think President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris and their administration should address first.
Ahead of the inauguration on Wednesday, a new poll by the Associated Press found that containing the coronavirus outbreak and repairing the economic damage caused by the pandemic were top priorities.
According to this poll, conducted in December, 53% of Americans said COVID-19 should be the top priority of the Biden / Harris administration.
So far, it appears President-elect Joe Biden is already pushing to make this his priority. Last week, it unveiled a proposed $ 1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package and pledged to deliver 100 million vaccines in its first 100 days.
News Channel 3 is asking people this morning what priorities they think the new administration should tackle first and what they would like to see changed in the next four years.
Some more interesting findings from that poll are that 24% of Americans said race relations was one of their top priorities that they wanted the Biden / Harris team to focus on.
The economy has been named one way or another by 68% of Americans.
It appears the country has some optimism for the future with 55% expecting this year to be better for them personally and 54% saying they believe this year will be better for the country as a whole. .
