Accra, May 24, GNA – Mr. Amit Agrawal,
Head of Country and Senior Vice President of Olam Ghana, has been appointed Director General of
year (company of the year) – agri – food sector in the year 2019
CEO Summit in Accra.

Mr. Agrawal received the "CEO of the Year"
award in recognition of his achievements in corporate leadership in West Africa,
covering trade, logistics, manufacturing and distribution in the supply chain
agribusiness and the food industry for more than twenty years.

Commenting on the price, Mr. Agrawal
explained that the success of Olam Ghana was due to the hard work
and dedication of his team.

"This price is not fair to me, but the
the whole team who worked diligently all year to make sure
our goals and our positive impact on the lives of people across the country, "he said.

He added that Olam's success in Ghana had
based on value creation for farmers, consumers and customers across
effective operational capabilities and a long-term commitment to develop
Agricultural sectors of Ghana.

Olam Ghana, a subsidiary of Olam
International, is now in its 25th year and has grown to become one of the
large agri-food companies in the country. It is ranked among the biggest
licensed private purchase in the cocoa sector in Ghana and is the main
first exporter of cashew nuts. In 2012, Olam implemented a new state-of-the-art system
flour mill in Tema, making the company one of the main
millers.

Olam Ghana also exploits a tomato paste
processing and canning plant and state-of-the-art biscuit manufacturing
establishment. The tomato paste plant has one of the largest installed capacities
in West Africa and is one of the few countries in the world to make and preserve cans.
