Kwasi Amoako-Atta, Minister of Roads and Highways, welcomed the progress of work on some roads under construction in the Atiwa and Kwahu regions, in the region of Lhasa. ;Is.

At present, a 5-kilometer road from Odweanoma Junction to Kwahu-Atibie in South Kwahu District is undergoing major rehabilitation.

He expressed optimism about the completion of the road within four months.

The Minister, accompanied by Regional Minister Eric Kwakye Darfour and some DCEs from the region, made a stopover in Kwabeng before settling in the Kwahu areas.

The minister and his entourage were informed of the construction of an emergency bridge linking Kwabeng to Kade.

Ghana Highways Authority Regional Director Charles Adubofuor said the bridge was recently destroyed by a "Galamsey" truck driver.

Mr. Adubofuor stated that the driver of the truck had escaped after destroying the bridge.

Mr. Amoako-Atta instructed the regional minister and the DCE to launch a human hunt for the perpetrators.

He also inspected Kwabeng's internal roads, proposed a truck station at Kwabeng, a diversion of Abomosu and drains along Kwabeng roads.

In Mpreaso, he inspected the erection of traffic lights to manage the movements of vehicles.

He instructed the contractor and the leaders of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) to collaborate to achieve the objectives.

Meanwhile, the Oterkpolu and Okwenya bridges in the Krobo region are part of the 50 bridges planned for construction this year.
