It was reported that the operation on Moshiliwa lasted an hour and a half as ear trauma had complicated the operation.
However, it was revealed that the 40-year operation was actually a success.
The second patient, Simon Bohale, aged 62, has an underdeveloped middle ear. His job as a welder also contributed to his hearing loss and aggravated condition in 1983. He stated:
"I'm excited, I've had two surgeries before, but I did not completely agree, I can not wait to hear from people when they talk to me."

Speaking about his procedure, Professor Tshifularo explained that they were pbading a scanner before recreating the bone. He added that the idea is to create the same "size of the position, shape, weight and length of the bone".
Professor Tshifularo added that the implant worked in the same way as a hip replacement – a procedure he considered his inspiration.
"By replacing only the ossicles that do not work properly, the procedure involves much less risk than known prostheses and badociated surgical procedures," he said.
Professor Tuks revealed that they used titanium for this procedure because it is biocompatible. And, since they use an endoscopic approach, the surgery is relatively quick and scary.
Professor Tshifularo said he chose the public hospital because he wanted to help people. The procedure should also be affordable, which is music to our ears.
