A story of a nurse who would have swapped about 5,000 babies to belong to false parents turned out to be false by fact checkers.
YEN.com.gh saw evidence refuting the allegation of a Zambian nurse who allegedly traded close to 5,000 babies between bad parents.
According to factcheck.afp.com, the Zambia General Nursing Council (GNCZ) has quashed the claims.
According to the report available at YEN.com.gh, GNCZ stated in a press release of April 5, 2019 that "there is no midwife of this type in the GNCZ registry, none of this midwife is a nurse. has never existed and has not worked in maternity at the UTH anymore.
According to a report from Zambia.co.zm, the news of nurse Elizabeth Mwewa, who is reportedly dying from a terminal cancer, has worked at the University Hospital of the United States. University (UTH) in the 1980s.

It is not known if any parents came to protest against the legitimacy of their child since Mwewa's "confession".
The whole affair itself had to be met with skepticism YEN.com.gh indicated in its initial report on the subject. In the first place, it is unlikely that a nurse has been in contact with 5,000 babies in 12 years. Math does not seem to add up.
