A McDonald's staff member in the United States was fired after refusing to serve a paramedic.
The employee of a Florida restaurant reportedly told paramedic Anthony Quinn that the restaurant did not accept the police.
"I'm going into McDonald's just to go to the bathroom and an employee is going away, we do not accept the officers here," wrote Quinn on Facebook.
"I tell her that I am not an officer, she then tells anyone with a badge, then tells my partner when he comes to order food, says we do not serve not your kind here. "
The Caspers franchisee, who owns 37 McDonald's restaurants in Florida, said the employee had been fired.
"Like you, we were upset and disappointed and took immediate action. The employee was fired," said a spokesman in a statement.
"What happened does not reflect the values of our brand, our franchise, nor the love and admiration we have always shown for our friends from the forces of order and first responders. "
Quinn wrote on Facebook that he now regrets being made public, explaining that the situation could have been treated otherwise.
"I understand that the employee was fired and that McDonald's took appropriate action, thanks," he said.
"I leave the situation behind and I will continue to help people as best I can." Thank you. "
