An ex-nanny accused of stealing a family cat

This New York nanny is willing to go to jail for a cat, and it's not even hers. Rebecca Katz faces small charges of larceny after hitting Tigger, her former Long Island business cat, claiming that the family had threatened to make the 15-year-old animal fall asleep. Katz, 33, said that the mother of one family more than once had stated that it was time to give "the needle" to the feline because he had stomach problems and other health problems. The owners of Tigger refused to comment.
