After a season in which racism has been a major topic of conversation in English football, Pogba has explained his own very different, almost new, approach to fighting the abuses he and other players face in the field. .

The English and Welsh footballers took matters into their own hands earlier in the season by boycotting social media for the lack of action against racist online abuse.
This took place after several English players were subjected to racial chants while qualifying for the Euro 2020 against Montenegro in March.

"I've lived it and it's really sad to see this on the football field," Pogba told Times sports editor Matt Dickinson.
"The fans who do that, they even have blacks in their team, so doing something like that is really low.
"They do not respect the player and do not even respect the player of their own team.
"I do not know if they are racist or ignorant or just do not want you to perform well.
"I hear a lot of things but I do not react, I just smile.
