An oil spill on a section of the Accra-Tema highway on Tuesday night caused skidding of at least four vehicles from the road and disrupted traffic in the evening.
Joy News sources said the four cars that skidded struck pbadersby, causing serious injuries in a few cases.
We do not know yet how the spill occurred. However, eyewitnesses stated that concrete the road near the Trbadaco Valley – a residential area near the highway – will probably remain slippery Wednesday morning if the road safety authorities do not react quickly.
"The lack of lights on the highway does not help the problem," said an eyewitness on his Facebook account.
Motorists who approach this part of the highway are advised to drive with caution.
