HONG KONG (BLOOMBERG) – The Hong Kong Ministry of Health is investigating a measles outbreak that has infected three workers at the city's airport.

The trio, employees of Hong Kong International Airport, both developed a rash last week, according to a government statement released Friday (March 22nd).

A health talk was held at the airport to provide measles-related health advice to workers, a government spokesman said in a statement.

Measles vaccines were administered to the close working contacts of the three patients to prevent the possible spread of the infection, he said.

Earlier this month, a man developed the symptoms of measles after boarding a Cathay Pacific Airways flight between Hong Kong and Tokyo. He was a flight attendant for the airline, the South China Morning Post reported.
