The Ministry of Health badured unemployed private nurses that they would soon be employed.

In a statement, the ministry said it was hoping to get financial clearance for the restless nurses by the end of this week.

At a press conference held on Monday, March 18, 2019, the Coalition of Unemployed Private Nurses threatened to demonstrate if the government was not engaging its members in the health sector over the next ten days. .

Coalition spokeswoman Doreen Boateng said all attempts to obtain financial clearance were unsuccessful.

She also explained that President Nana Akufo-Addo and her government gave priority to state-trained nurses, a situation they described as regrettable.

"There is no plan to recruit trained nurses in the private sector in the health sector, as is the case for state-sponsored nurses"she added.

But the Ministry of Health, in response to the threat of unemployed nurses, urged them to be patient because it is striving to provide them with a financial discharge this week.

We are convinced that this week we will be able to obtain financial authorization for them, so they must be patient.
