Analysts reserved praise for Acring IGP George Akuffo Dampare

Some security analysts applauded police swift action to ban four officers from Tamale Regional Command following alleged assaults on some people during street checks on illegal connections with NEDCO and NEDCO agents. the VRA.

Officers must face a service investigation subject to Ghana Police Service regulations.

Security analyst David Agbee said Acting Inspector General of Police Dr George Akufo Dampare, IGP, has proven he is up to the task, adding that “the investigation of service ”out of the 4 banned agents was the way to go.

“Since the new IGP Dr George Akuffo Dampare took office, I have observed closely the way he manages the activities of the police and I have to say that he has proven that he understands his job and what he does. he did in regards to banning some policemen in Tamale who were caught mistreating civilians shows he can do the job.

“Each institution, just like the Ghana Police Service, has its own code of ethics and therefore the service investigation is the appropriate forum to handle this,” he said.

Mr Agbee, however, raised concerns about the recent kidnapping issue, the latest being the alleged kidnapping of a pregnant woman who was later found without her pregnancy.

“Takoradi is emerging as a hot spot for kidnappings and other criminal activity, I call on the Ghana Police Service to pay attention to the details,” he said.

Another analyst, Adib Saani, praised the Dampare, saying he is someone who does not tolerate indiscipline even in his family. He is therefore not surprised at how quickly the police took action against the police in Tamale.

“If you’re familiar with IGP, some of these things won’t surprise you and I hope it doesn’t end there. What happened in Tamale is very unfortunate, and I am especially delighted that the police administration has picked it up and the appropriate action has already been taken. “

On the issue of kidnappings, Saani feared the police would lose their grip.
