Anas believes that the online petition will force the relevant authorities to ensure that the man, who once belonged to the CAF Executive Committee, can face the criminal charges he deserves.

Anas, in an article on the online petition platform, said he was shocked by the fact that the Attorney General has not addressed the case, despite the circumstantial evidence that has forced FIFA to ban Nyantakyi.

"Police have completed investigations into cases of probable criminal behavior of Mr. Nyantakyi. They submitted their findings to the Attorney General last year [2018]. The Attorney General has not taken any action to date. Help us ask the Attorney General to move this case forward. According to Anas, if Kwesi Nyantakyi were to be released from all that was outsourced, it would only strengthen weak laws that seem to govern Ghanaians in the country.

"If Nyantakyi is not prosecuted, our collective fight against corruption will not make any sense. It will also send many citizens the message that the law only concerns the poor, but that the rich and the powerful can not be held responsible for their actions.. "
