Given their form compared to the way they played less than two months ago under Jose Mourinho, it's easy to think that Manchester United has bought a whole new group of players since that time.
But Ander Herrera says that it was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's approach that made the difference.
"When you're a manager, you sometimes talk too much about tactics, but the most difficult thing for a manager is to get the best of his best players," Herrera told ESPN FC.
"And this manager does it, we've all seen it.
"Ole has this click with some players that he performs at best.
"Now, the hard part is that they can keep up the momentum, but everyone has understood that he had this trigger with the main players on the team.
"He makes the best of [Marcus] Rashford, he makes the best of Paul [Pogba], he gets the best of Anthony [Martial]from Jesse [Lingard]and it is not easy. "
Herrera also praised the Spanish Juan Mata, one of his closest friends of the group.
At age 30, Mata is one of the most experienced players in United's training. Herrera says that it allows him to do things that other players can not do.
"Football is about making the right decisions," said Herrera. That's why Juan Mata still plays and plays fantastically.
"And I always tell him that he's not the fastest, that he's not the strongest, that he's not the best shot but that he always makes the right decision, every moment.
Man Utd was planning to line up against Fulham before the shock of Craven Cottage
"One of the qualities [Mata] at [which] I realize that some highlights are observed when you see one of us shoot at goal, who is always the one who is always ready for the goalie's rebound? Juan Mata.
"When we see one of our backs center the ball, which is still in the right position on the ground in the surface? Juan Mata.
"When the team is in trouble and we need an extra midfielder to come play, who is there? Juan Mata."
Mata and Herrera both traveled with the United team in London before Saturday's match against Fuham.
