The leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency is asking the Electoral Commission to cancel the by-elections held in the region because of the violence that led the party to withdraw from the elections.
In a statement, the party said it would not accept the election results, in which the candidate of the new patriotic party had collected 68.30% of the vote.
In a statement signed by Aborbi-Ayitey Bismark, president of the NDC constituency Ayawaso West Wuogon, he explained that he would not recognize the heartless candidate of the nuclear power plant, Lydia Alhbadan, elected MP, because this whole process was a simulacrum.
"We call on the Electoral Commission to cancel the result of the by-election to the extent that the election took place under dubious circumstances, including in a bellicose environment," the statement said.
"If we do not do it, the CND will have no choice but to do unanimously among the elections for the elections under the leadership of Jean Mensa under the NPP and the Nana Akufo government. -Addo ", the statement added.
