Highlife musician, Anokye Supremo, is fighting for his life at the Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences in Mukundapur, India, after undergoing surgery to remove a head tumor.
According to KOFI TV reports, the artist has been in a coma for a few days and surgeons hope that he will come back as soon as possible.
The artist, formerly known as Daddy Lumba Jr., was diagnosed as suffering from this disease when he began to have a severe headache that he thought was a migraine.
During a visit to the hospital, he was told that it was a tumor. He began to feel pain in his left eye which then led to blindness in the same eye.
In an interview with Citinewsroom, he said, "It started in October and I thought it was a migraine. I went to the hospital and was told that I had a tumor in my head that caused me an enlarged left eye, "did he say? he declares.
Surgeons at Rabindranath Tagore International, explaining the seriousness of the situation, described the tumor as aggressive and could be cancerous.
"He has a very big tumor involving his eyes. He had no vision and we operated his eyes. We did our work and discovered a large tumor that can unfortunately be a cancerous tumor. He is still in the fan. And we hope that it will come out. The surgeon said.
Before his trip to India for surgery, doctors will take about 10,000 GHC for surgery on the tumor. A GoFund has however been set up to help with medical bills.
