Another person was arrested as a result of the shooting at the party's National Democratic Party (NDC) party office in the Ashanti region.

This brings to four the total number of people in custody.

Police in the region said that 12 people were wanted for the incident of the shooting. Three people then went to the police, but their request for bail was rejected by a court.

Ashanti Regional Police Command public relations officer ASP Godwin Ahianyo, confirming the latest arrest of Eyewitness News, said the suspect, Sulemana Hussein, aka Akon, was on the wanted list by the police, is currently in detention.

Abdul Wasiu Iddris, 34, is dead and another injured.

The suspects are Dauda Ibrahim, 40, aka Wayo, Abdul Ganiu, 37, and Samuel Agyin, aka Rock, 32.

The three people who reported to the regional police were Hussein Bari, known as Warrior, Midhima, Damos and Abu Taliban.

The following suspects were also mentioned during police investigations; Sanni Mohammed aka Commando, Wayo, Element, Jah Rule, as well as Petit, Fayiz, Mallam and Rock.

Police also interviewed Joseph Yamin, former deputy regional minister of Ashanti, and Afrifa Yamoah Ponko, former chief executive of the municipality of Ejisu Juabeng.

Police said four alleged members of the pro-national Democratic Congress group, the Hawks, would be suspected of being behind the attack perpetrated against the party's regional office in Kumasi, which made one dead and another wounded.
