Agent Rich Paul informed the Pelicans in New Orleans that forward Anthony NB does not intend to sign a contract extension if and when it was presented to him and he requested an exchange Paul told ESPN on Monday.

"Anthony wants to be traded to a team that gives him the chance to consistently win and compete for a championship," said Paul.

The Pelicans, who have always denied any interest in Davis trading, can offer the big man a $ 240 million five-year contract extension this summer. If Davis does not re-sign, he is eligible to become a free agent in the summer of 2020.

Davis, 25, averaging 29.3 points and 13.3 rebounds per game, is currently marginalized with a fractured avulsion of the palmar plate of his left index finger.
