Great Britain currently dominate the top division as Joshua recently retained the WBA, IBF and WBO belts with a ninth round knockout of Kubrat Pulev, while Fury became the WBC champion by stopping Deontay Wilder in February.

But which contenders could come out of the national division to fight for a world title?

I have to say Joe Joyce. I saw him play hundreds of rounds with the England team when I was there for the last four, five years of my career, and I saw him there with AJ.
Joe Joyce defeated Daniel Dubois to claim world title fight
He doesn’t look capable when he trains and lets his shots go, but he’s more than capable when he steps in the ring with anyone. We saw it against Daniel Dubois, when everyone chose Dubois to win. It wasn’t really close was it, he blew it up with a blow.
I know he’s 35, but he’s fit, strong and full of self-confidence.

If you are looking for a new name coming in 2021, you have to say Joe Joyce. Yes there are younger heavyweights like Fabio Wardley, but I think what Joe Joyce did, he proved a lot of people wrong.
He won the British, Commonwealth and European titles and I’m not 100% sure if he can win a world title. But what I do know is he’s going to be in some really good fights and I think you can match him up with Derek Chisora, Andy Ruiz Jr, Joseph Parker, and Oleksandr Usyk.
There are huge fights for Joe Joyce.

Fabio Wardley. If you watch it you won’t give it the credit it deserves, but I’ve become a fan. It is actually much better than I expected.

He has excellent foot movement, skills and reflexes. He really went under the radar.
Matthew macklin
I think it must still be Dillian Whyte. I know he was knocked out by Alexander Povetkin, but until that point he was boxing really well. In the previous round, he had beaten Povetkin twice, and I thought he was on his way to probably a save win. But that’s heavy boxing.

Obviously, Joe Joyce has just won a nice victory over Daniel Dubois. All of a sudden he gets into this mix.
Derek Chisora will never be far either, even though he lost to Oleksandr Usyk, he made him work hard there.

I would say Fabio Wardley and David Adeleye, I love the look of these two. They made good steady progress.
Wardley was very impressive in his last fight, especially the end. He has charisma and personality, good style, exciting and he looks tough. He just needs to gain that experience.
David Adeleye trains with Joshua
I also like the style of Adeleye, a great puncher, and he also seems eager to learn. He went to the gyms to develop.
Andy Clarke
It must be Joe Joyce. He is someone who will be constantly underestimated no matter what he does. You watch him and he doesn’t really look that special, but he’s going to be very hard to beat on anyone.
Only true top heavyweights will be able to beat him.
Yes, I think he could win a world title, if they break up in the future. I would love to see Dillian Whyte vs. Joe Joyce.
