ANTOINE GRIEZMANN revealed that he wanted to join Alexandre, the friend of Arsenal, in Barcelona.
Aged 28, he made a £ 108 million transfer from the Catalan side after five years with Atletico Madrid.
And the striker has reiterated his desire to play alongside Lacazette at club level, after the success of the duo with the French national team.
In a clip posted by Sky Sports, he said: "As a player, I would like to play with Alexandre Lacazette.
"He's one of my friends off the field and we played together for the national team. He has a lot of talent."
Lacazette – who was named Arsenal 's year – round player – was a target of £ 70 million for Barcelona this summer.
The 28-year-old is very close to the club's technical secretary, Eric Abidal, and he openly admitted that he was "flattered" by the interest of the Giants of La Liga.
And social media collapsed when a bug on the Barcelona website seemed to show that Lacazette was one of their own players.
Despite his close ties with the former Lyonnais star, Griezmann also revealed that he was almost in agreement for a move to Manchester United and that he hoped Liverpool would win the league.
He added, "It almost happened once, but I was very happy where I was.
"I had a lot of fun in La Liga and we have something that the Premier League does not have: the sun.
"In terms of teams, I admire Liverpool because of the fans." Hopefully one day they will win the league again. "
