Samson Lardi Anyenini, a private lawyer, said that the conduct of some lawyers from the National Security Secretariat and the National Investigation Bureau (BNI) represents them as people who have forgotten the law.
Anyenini complained that, on several occasions, the suspects had been detained at the BNI or the National Security Secretariat beyond the 48-hour time limit prescribed by law.
Anyenini, a journalist, also informed Paul Adom-Otchere of the arrest and detention of ModernGhana's editor-in-chief Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri and Emmanuel Britwum.

After his release, Ajarfor claimed that he had been tortured by security agents, but National Security refuted this badertion.
Lardi Anyenini, Ajarfor's attorney, said he was working in this area and that he was also going to national security centers, traveling to BNI for almost 10 years. .
"I will be the most naïve practitioner to say that these security systems are not excessive. You will go there and meet your colleagues with whom you sit in the Faculty of Law and they will behave as if they have forgotten all the laws they have been taught about due process. he said.
