Kwasi Appiah, Black Stars coach
The Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah, said he had an idea of which players would form the core of his team for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for Egypt in June.
The former boss of Al Khartoum, aged 58, has been severely criticized as a result of the constant invitation of new players in the national team.
However, the coach is not discouraged because he said he had decided which players deserved to be part of his final squad for the continent's most prestigious competition.
Six years after the soft-spoken coach led the Stars to fourth place in the 2013 edition of the South Africa competition, he will lead them back to chasing their first trophy in more than 37 years. .
The constant introduction of new players into the team has raised many concerns about the likelihood of a selection headache that the coach could be facing.
But the coach thinks it's only to help him get a fair idea of the players he's going to work with during the competition and he does not want to get to the point where he can easily predict which players will make up his team .
"This is my last qualifying match, automatically, I should have an idea of the players I want to take to CAN but you should never reach the level you say is my team, they had a lot of matches in their different clubs and anything can happen, "said coach Appiah.
