Apple gets a black eye in case of failure at the AirPower charging mat

Apple has acknowledged an unusual defeat and had to cancel the market launch of a long-announced device. The AirPower charging mat for wireless charging of batteries of up to three devices will not appear now, as announced Friday the iPhone group.

After much effort, AirPower has not responded to Apple's claim, said the lead developer, Dan Riccio, responsible for hardware development. He apologized to customers waiting for the camera.

The Bloomberg financial service also reported overheating and problems with the software, as well as the charge when devices are placed on the carpet for free.

The end for AirPower must have been decided in the near future: the recently released wireless charging case for the AirPod has been relegated to the charging mat. The Wall Street Journal recently reported that AirPower had been released for production. Apple itself has not given any details about the problems encountered with AirPower. There are now loading mats for two appliances from other manufacturers.
