Apple has released Thunderbolt Firmware Update 1.0 for Macs with the new Thunderbolt interface.
The update is currently available via software update on your Mac or download.
According to Apple:
About the Thunderbolt firmware update
This update provides performance and stability fixes for Thunderbolt.
When your computer restarts, a gray screen appears with a status bar indicating the progress of the update.
Do not disturb or turn off your computer during this update.
The download costs only 468 KB and requires that your Mac is equipped with Mac OS X 10.6.8.
