Apple is considered a "key tenant" of the future 400 West Georgia complex in Vancouver, described as a "futuristic tower." It should be completed in the spring of next year. Apple would occupy about two floors in the 24-storey building.
The futuristic tower – a rotating pile of huge glbad cubes inspired by a Japanese paper lantern – is expected to be completed in the spring of 2020, according to the Westbank website. The entire development will be 367,000 square feet. Deloitte Canada's Vancouver headquarters will occupy approximately 117,000 square feet on the top 10 floors, while Spaces will lease approximately 120,000 square feet.
Apple will have a notable neighbor to this new development. Amazon is currently redeveloping a street-level "bunker" building, which used to be a Canada Post mailing address center. This development is becoming the 416,000 square foot residence in Amazon's new offices.
In 2015, Apple moved its Canadian headquarters to new offices in the downtown core, just outside Toronto, near its Eaton Center flagship store. On its website, Apple currently lists the address of its Canadian headquarters at 120 Bremner Boulevard in Toronto.
