Argentine "next Lionel Messi" avoids new contract to get Premier League transfer

Argentine aspirant Thiago Almada – nicknamed "the next Lionel Messi" – clinches a new contract while Manchester City is about to increase his interest.

The club of his club, Vélez Sarsfield, in Argentina, proposes a new contract to Almada, but this one wishes to make pbad the clause of liberation of 18 years of 14 million to 23 million pounds.

Manchester City would have made an offer of £ 11m for the offensive midfielder and is expected to come back with a stronger bid this summer.

The general manager of Vélez, Pablo Cavallero, said on continental radio: "We have agreed everything for the renovation of Thiago, only the signature is missing.The cancellation clause will be £ 23 million."

It is also alleged that the interest of City comes from his partner club Sporting Lisbon, which opens the possibility of a loan agreement to the Portuguese club while Almada completes its development.
