It may not be long before we see Denis Suarez in a starting formation for Arsenal for the first time, but how should Unai Emery build his team to get the most out of the new signing?
Emery said he would be ready to start Suarez against Manchester City on Sunday, just three days after the playmaker arrived on loan from Barcelona.
And after working alongside the 25-year-old during a season in Seville, Emery will be fully aware of the strengths and weaknesses of a man he hopes to make a decisive contribution to Arsenal's bid for qualification in Champions League.
Denis Suarez, diamond of the midfielder
The current Arsenal system does not require Suarez to integrate on the flanks, the diamond midfielder Emery currently uses, which means that the essential of the width comes from the side.
There are two places where Suarez could be placed in a rhombus, depending on the opposition faced by Arsenal. When he will face lower-ranked opponents, especially at home, Emery may choose to deploy his old Seville charge on the flanks of the diamond, thus providing an additional link to an attacking trio that sometimes seems too isolated.
Facing Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham, Emery is more likely to offer defensive options in the midfield thanks to trios Matteo Guendouzi, Granite Xhaka and Lucas Torreira.
In this system, Suarez would be a natural No. 10, and Emery hopes to be able to bring the best of what Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey already offer to gunners.
Having already worked under Emery Suarez could bring the more disciplined approach to the pressure that his manager even demands from his playmakers.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette would feast on incisive balls from Suarez. Only five players had obtained the total aid expected every 90 minutes in La Liga this season, albeit in a small sample. expect that its objective is more threatening than in Barcelona.
In the short term, this certainly seems the most likely way to place Suarez alongside Emery, but if the Spaniard wants to be creative he may be able to adapt his new offensive addition to a bigger offensive talent .
Arsenal XI: Leno; Maitland-Niles, Koscielny, Sokratis, Kolasinac; Xhaka, Torreira, Guendouzi, Suarez; Aubameyang, Lacazette
Return of 4-2-3-1
Emery 's Arsenal' s reign began with him using the training his predecessor had preferred during his stay in North London, but the Gunners' leader quickly moved away from his home. a system that required him to park Aubameyang off or on a Lacazette bench.
He still had to take up the challenge with the addition of Suarez, but the new signature allows him greater fluidity in the way he aligns, especially when Henrikh Mkhitaryan regains his fitness.
Emery insists that he considers Suarez as a person who can play on the left flank or the right flank and that it is easy to see him slide on the latter wing. Indeed, if Hector Bellerin was in shape during his loan, the couple could be intriguing because the nominal right wing drifts and the bombs at the back of the sideline.
Suarez would bring the same qualities to his role as No. 10 in a 4-2-3-1, as noted above, although this time his ability to support and win the ball high on the ground would be further on the test with one less midfielder behind him.
But if Emery really believes that Suarez is a potentially broad option, expect to see the Arsenal boss attempt more formations that give the side wide.

An Iniesta-Hamsik hybrid
A small imposing midfielder who grew up in the academy of Barcelona, Suarez only had one player on whom he was going to model his game. Well, maybe two if you include Xavi. But this is the other superstar of the great Blaugrana Hall in the engine room on which the new Arsenal signature is similar.
"The person I watch most in the world of football is Andres Iniesta," said Suarez.
"He has always been my idol since I was young. In addition to the fact that he holds a position similar to me, I have also been able to spend two years with him.I learned a lot from him .
"It has always been a huge compliment to be compared to him."
Although Arsenal does not receive midfielder Iniesta's unique talent, he nevertheless recruits someone who tries to play the game in the same manner.
Like Iniesta, Suarez manages exceptionally to pbad in restricted areas. He can move the ball quickly in the central areas, either by his dribble or by a well placed pbad.
Emery has not yet really used a 4-3-3 at Arsenal, perhaps for lack of dynamism in the midfield that Suarez could bring. Certainly, if Xhaka acted as regista and Torreira ensured the right-hand side of the midfield, the Gunners could have their own version of Sarriball, with Aubameyang his Lorenzo Insigne and Sead Kolasinac making an approximation of Faouzi Ghoulam.
Suarez would be his Marek Hamsik. Unlikely? Certainly, but you would like to see it try.

A clbadic 4-4-2
A more left option, perhaps, but if Emery wants Suarez to play apart and continue with Aubameyang and Lacazette in the same starting lineup, there are few options as obvious as a 4- 4-2.
Suarez could occupy either side of the flanks, but seems better fit on the left, Henrikh Mkhitaryan on the other wing and Torreira and Xhaka bringing a solid base to the midfield midfielder.
It's almost impossible to bring Ozil into such conventional wisdom, but it's quite likely that the moment Emery tries to get his number 10 back into training at £ 350,000 a week is over.
