Arsenal suffered a 1-0 defeat to BATE Borisov during a night attack. Alexandre Lacazette will want to forget after being expelled late. Chelsea, Inter Milan and Napoli have all won Thursday in the Europa League with 32 home-and-away matches.

The Spanish teams of Sevilla, Valencia and Villarreal also had a victory on the road, while Benfica, Club Brugge and Plzen have the advantage for the second leg of the week.
Arsenal had scored 10 goals in two matches against BATE Borisov in the same competition in 2017, but had never seemed so prolific under the icy temperatures of Belarus.
BATE took the lead when Stanislav Dragun kicked Arsenal goaltender Peter Cech a few seconds before half-time after Lacazette scored at halftime in the first half.
The French thought he had caught up to his fault 10 minutes after the break, but his effort was excluded.
To aggravate his misery, a red card was launched at Lacazette five minutes from the end of the match, which had elbowed Aleksandar Filipovic. The defender retained him and also reserved.
London's neighbors Arsenal, Chelsea, have done much better at similar temperatures, beating Malmo 2-1 in Sweden.
Ross Barkley gave the 2013 winners' advantage when he stabbed close to home in half an hour. Oliver Giroud scored his fifth goal in four games in the Europa League with a notched back wheel of a Willian center after 14 minutes of play in the second half.
Anders Christiansen of Malmo scored a magnificent goal on the break to bring the score to 2-1, but the Swedes could not even.
ITALIAN WINS
Italian clubs have also been successful. Napoli beat Zurich 3-1 in Switzerland, while Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez scored a penalty in the 39th minute for a 1-0 victory at Rapid Vienna.
Napoli captain Lorenzo Insigne gave the visitors the advantage after 12 minutes of play. He capitalized on a terrible mistake by goalkeeper Yanick Brecher and Jose Callejon doubled their lead in the 21st after taking Kevin Malcuit's center at home.
Piotr Zielinski scored the third goal 13 minutes from the end, before Benjamin Kololli won a penalty point consolation.
In the only draw between two teams in the Champions League, visitors Benfica beat Galatasaray 2-1 after taking the lead in the 27th minute when Salvio converted a handball penalty.
Christian Luyindama equalized for the home team in the 9th minute, but Haris Seferovic, Benfica's top scorer, won with a superb solo goal 10 minutes later.
SPANISH SUCCESS
It was also a good night for the Spanish clubs, with the victories of Valencia, Sevilla and Villarreal and Real Betis saving a last draw at the Stade de Rennes.
In Glasgow, Denis Cheryshev gave the advantage to Valencia three minutes before half-time, while he finished a fine counter-attack by Ruben Sobrino.
The roles were reversed in the second half when Sobrino opened the scoring at home after Cheryshev worked hard for the break.

Alfonso Pedraza's goal after three minutes was enough to give Villarreal a 1-0 win against Sporting and retain his unbeaten run in this year's competition.
Sevilla beat Lazio by the same score in Rome thanks to a point blank shot by Wissam Ben Yedder in the 22nd minute.
Real Betis lost 2-0 after 10 minutes to Rennes, a team making its first knockout appearance in Europe.
Giovani Lo Celso scored for the Spaniards after 32 minutes of play, but Hatem Ben Arfa restored the cushion of two goals at home at half-time, with a penalty.
Betis had the best of the second period and Sidnei raised the score to 3-2 with a header before the Mexican Diego Lainez got the equalizer that deserved their pressure just before the final whistle.
Plzen and Brugge scored goals 2-1 late against Dinamo Zagreb and Salzburg, while Shakhtar Donetsk beat twice to draw 2-2 with visitor Eintracht Frankfurt.
Dynamo Kiev scored at the last minute a 2-2 draw at Olympiakos Piraeus. The Russian team's Krasnodar match with visiting Bayer Leverkusen was not a draw and Slavia Prague and Genk were also able to break the deadlock.
On Tuesday, Fenerbahce beat Zenit 1-0.
The second leg will take place on 21 February, with the exception of Sevilla v Lazio, which should be played one day earlier.
