This is the damning verdict of former Gunners Paul Merson.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery has been under immense pressure in recent weeks to start producing the performances he has achieved in his team's unbeaten run.
Emery also pointed out that it would be difficult for the club to make permanent signatures in the January transfer window.
It is now clear that many of the problems that Arsene Wenger faced when he was in charge are being transferred to Emery.
And Merson thinks that Chelsea's win over the Emirates this weekend would put an end to Arsenal's top four challenges.
"Arsenal have to win this match, otherwise everything is in the Europa League," he told Sky Sports.
"It could help, because they could then focus on this competition because they would not be in the top four."
Merson then pointed out how difficult it was for his former club to juggle the complexity of both competitions.
He then made his prediction.
"They can not balance the two, the team is neither strong enough nor big enough," he said.
"I want a win on the outside."
Arsenal already has six points on the top four and is under pressure from Manchester United.
United is tied for points with the Gunners and a win over Brighton on Saturday would put them ahead of Emery's men before playing.
The first game of this season between Arsenal and Chelsea produced five goals and was won by a late goal from Marcos Alonso.
Since then, both teams have performed long undefeated races, but have seen their form shatter dramatically in recent weeks.
