Lukas Podolski believes that Arsenal will be among the top four if Mesut Ozil plays regularly for the Gunners in the last seven games of the season.
Arsenal are at the helm in the Champions League qualifier after Manchester United and Chelsea have suffered some expensive defeats last month.
After being sidelined at points throughout the season, Ozil has managed to recover under Unai Emery in recent weeks.
Podolski was an international teammate and member of the Ozil club and thinks that the German can send his team back to the Champions League.
"Mesut is a good friend of mine and a great player who can make a difference on the pitch," said Podoloski at Four Four Two.
'He can bring back Arsenal in the place of the Champions League. They are definitely better with him in starting training – he has the eye for a special pbad.
"They must finish in the first four. For a club the size of Arsenal, there is no excuse to spend three consecutive seasons without qualifying in the Champions League. They need Ozil to help them. "
Emery's team is fourth in the standings, two points ahead of United and equal to Chelsea.
Arsenal also has a match in hand with their closest rivals and could still finish third if Tottenham continues to weaken this season.
The Spurs have regained third place at Arsenal by beating Crystal Palace on Wednesday night, but have only won one in six league games.

Arsenal's outside form has always been below normal this season and Emery warned his players that they needed to progress on the road to qualify for the Champions League.
"We know it will be very difficult because we know that Tottenham, Manchester United and Chelsea will win a lot of games, and that will require a lot of us," Emery told talkSPORT.
"We're going to play five games and it's a challenge, we're hot here [at the Emeriates] but we must also be confident and consistent far from home.
"We have to take points in tough away matches like Sunday against Everton."
