Arsenal are ready to compete with rivals Spurs in North London in pursuit of Real Madrid playmaker Dani Ceballos this summer.

The 22-year-old should leave Real Madrid after failing in his first squad in his starry midfield since joining Real Betis in 2017.

Ceballos was closely badociated with a transfer to the Spurs as a potential substitute for Christian Eriksen, who was tipped to join Real Madrid after confessing a new challenge.

However, Arsenal is also interested in signing Ceballos and is studying the possibility of a loan agreement with Unai Emery's transfer budget estimated at only £ 45m this summer.

Although Real Madrid is looking to dislodge players who will not start under Zinedine Zidane, they could be ready to lend to Ceballos given its considerable potential for improvement.

Ceballos, who is still four years old on his contract, would be in favor of a loan agreement because he would like to establish himself in the future as regular player of the first team.

Having rarely played for Real Madrid since his arrival, Ceballos wants to play 40 matches in first team next season and any potential club should offer him this guarantee.

Last season, Ceballos played 34 matches with Real Madrid in all competitions, although it only started three matches after Zidane's reappointment in March.
