ARSENE WENGER is ready to return to football but will not return to the Premier League.
The former boss of Arsenal was "injured" after the end of his reign at 22 years in Emirates last summer.
Wenger would have healed his wounds in the past seven months, but he has now confided to close friends that he feels ready to return to the match.
It is understood that Wenger has now FOUR offers on the table, including club jobs.
The 69-year-old made it clear that he could not join another Prem club because of his ties to Arsenal.
One of his friends said: "Arsene has suffered in recent months but now feels ready to return to football.
"He's still obsessed with gambling – it's not changed at all.
"He always watches games. He still loves football.
"Arsene still wants to train. He feels that he has a lot more to give.
"But he feels that he can not be a coach in the Premier League, because of what Arsenal always means to him."
One option would be to take over the French national academy at Clairefontaine, but it is understood that Wenger's preferred choice would be at the forefront of progress.
Previously, he had been badociated with European giants such as Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich. The former general manager of Arsenal, Ivan Gazidis, now has a similar role within AC Milan.
