Kotoko received a check for $ 150,000 from the youth sport sector
One day after their 2-1 home win against Zambian giant Zesco United in the Caf Confederation Cup group stage, Asante Kotoko received a $ 150,000 check from Ghana's Ministry of Sports to help the Kumasi-based camp in his continental campaign.
The department had previously promised to provide financial badistance to clubs representing the nation in club competitions.
Until now, Kotoko won one match and lost another in the group stage, where he played for the last time in 2008.
The Porcupine warriors also won $ 84,000 on Wednesday, according to communications director Sarfo Duku, who noted that Baba Yara's 40,000-seat stadium was 65 percent full.
