Asante Kotoko received a check for $ 150,000 from the Ministry of Youth and Sports after her participation in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage, according to reports.
According to Sikka Sports, the Porcupine warriors received the said amount as promised by the ministry on Thursday morning.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports is committed to financially badist clubs representing the country in club competitions in Africa to help them bear some of the burden they bear.
Asante Kotoko was impressive at the CAF Confederations Cup this year, having reached the group stage for the first time since 2008.
On Wednesday, the Kumasi-based side beat Zesco United 2-1 to record their first win in Group C, giving them three points, as all clubs in the group.
FA Cup holders will travel to Zambia to face Nkana FC in the next match before home games against Kitwe and Al Hilal.
