Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II thanked the Asanteman Council and other compatriots for their loyalty and support over the past two decades.
In a message commemorating his 20th As the suzerain of the Ashanti Kingdom, he declared that their loyalty and unwavering support had contributed to peace throughout Asanteman and the country.
Asantehene also congratulated the former presidents, as well as the president, Nana Akufo-Addo, for their "collective support and for the courtesy they have bestowed on me and the kind words that they have given them." they wrote to celebrate my 20th birthday "
He also addressed words of gratitude to all Ghanaians for their prayers and messages of goodwill over the years.
Below is his message:
On the occasion of the happy occasion and celebration of the 20th anniversary of my childhood on the golden stool as 16th Asantehene, let me thank Almighty God for his grace, mercy and the good health that he granted me during those years.
I would like to thank Nananom of the Asanteman Council and my compatriots for their unfailing loyalty and support that have contributed to the relative peace we enjoy in our country, Ghana.
I climbed on the golden stool on April 26, 1999 and exchanged with the five presidents as part of the Republic of Republic of Ghana's fourth Constitution, that is, their excellencies; President Jerry John Rawlings, President John Agyekum Kufuor, the late President John Evans Atta Mills, President John Dramani Mahama and currently President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. I take this opportunity to thank them collectively for their support, the courtesies they have given and the kind words they have written to celebrate my 20th anniversary.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all Ghanaians for their sympathies, their prayers and their support when I lost my mother, Asantehemaa Nana Afia Kobi Serwa Ampem II, in November 2016.
Finally, I want to publicly thank my dear wife Julia for the love and support you have given me throughout our marriage. I could not have borne the heavy burden of my responsibilities without you being with me.
