23, GNA – Raging youth from Ashaiman Municipality charged with local municipal leader
Executive (MCE) of sneaky land
relations with some Chinese investors.
Numbering more
more than 200, they engaged in a march in the main streets of Ashaiman to protest
against the alleged acts of Mr Albert Okyere Boakye.

Protesters leader Adongo said that the chief executive of the municipality of Ashaiman had sold a
plot of land to certain investors without following the prescribed procedures.
Mr. Adongo said
MCE action made the party in power, the new patriotic party, unpopular
Ashaiman.
He called for
the removal of the MCE to increase the chances of the party in
Ashaiman in the 2020 elections.
Mr Albert
Okyere Boakye, in response, noted that ASHMA did not own any plots of land
in the municipality and therefore did not have the power to sell land
no matter who.

were part of the Tema Development Acquisition Zone and were therefore under the
control of the development company Tema (T.D.C.).
The ERM
explained that the lands in dispute had been awarded to the Sentou group
companies under the government
