The constituency presidents of the Association of New Patriotic Parties (NPP) of the Ashanti region congratulated Nana Akufo Addo and the party’s elected MPs on their re-election in the general election which has just ended.
They also called on the entire party structure and its supporters to remain calm and to use internal party structures to resolve all outstanding issues and grievances.
The congratulatory message was carried in a statement signed by the chairman of the presidents of the NPP’s Ashanti regional constituencies, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, at their year-end meeting held in Kumasi.
Calls for calm
The association also instructed all party loyalists to refrain from using the media as a forum to deal with party grievances instead of internal party structures.
He therefore recognizes and congratulates the media for the crucial role they played in the election which has just ended and praises them.
Once again, the association also expressed its gratitude to the party base for the victory won in the December elections.
The Association also took the opportunity to wish all Ghanaians a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
