The constituency presidents of the Association of New Patriotic Parties (NPP) of the Ashanti region congratulated President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the party’s elected MPs on their victory in the general elections on December 7.
Once again, the association also expressed its gratitude to the party base for the victory won in the December elections.
The congratulatory message was carried in a statement signed by the chairman of the presidents of the NPP’s Ashanti regional constituencies, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, at their year-end meeting held in Kumasi.
Call calm
He called on the entire party structure and its supporters to remain calm and to resort to internal party structures to seek redress on outstanding issues and grievances they may face as party members.
The Association instructed all party supporters to refrain from using the media as a forum to deal with party grievances instead of internal party structures.
Recommendation
He recognized and praised the media for the crucial role they played in the election which just ended and praised them.
The Association also took the opportunity to wish all Ghanaians a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
